Note: Observatory public events and MAS monthly star parties are separate and distinct events, each with its own character and agenda. You are welcome as a visitor at either event. It is important to note that observatory public events take place regardless of weather, while MAS star parties may be rescheduled or canceled due to weather. Refer to the "Visiting the Observatory" and "Visiting a MAS Star Party" sections for more information.

Chances are this will be the first time you've visited an observatory, or joined the Minnesota Astronomical Society at one of its "star parties". This section explains what to expect and shares "visitor guidelines" that will make your visit more enjoyable.
